Balloon Twisting Party Theme
Great for ages 5-9

Kids love to make balloons! Get a bag of balloons and pump up 2-3 balloons for every child. Then twist into easy designs like a candy cane or a simple version of a sword. If this is too much...hire a professional balloon artist to lead the activities and end the session by giving everyone an awesome balloon of their choice!

Check out the links on my Balloons 101 page to learn more basics.

Kids love crafts, but how often do kids get to twist balloons at school, at fairs, or at a party? This activity will captivate children of all ages.

Where do you buy balloons and balloon pumps? Walmart or Party City, if you are shopping locally. EBay has several kits that come with beginner books that will help you practice a few easy designs before the party.

What about popping? If you let a bit of air out of the balloon once you have fully inflated it...just before you tie it...you will reduce the chance of it popping. Keep balloons out of grass. It is best to store inflated balloons in a large collapsable clothes hamper or bathtub before the party.
